New Google social platform is a big plus for small businesses.

Now, whilst you may well be familiar with the two aforementioned networking sites, a new and exciting project is being developed by Google. Google+ has been creating ridiculous amounts of hype across the internet with millions of people clamouring to set up accounts. Whilst Google+ is still in its development stage therefore not currently active it is possible to have a look at some of the features that Google hope will offer a new perspective on the world of digital socialism.

Google+ will offer users a new function that has yet to feature in the social networks world. Circles. Circles will enable users to put different contacts into different groups as a tool for the user to moderate what can be viewed and by whom. From a business angle this will enable a company, for example, to put clients in one group and prospects in another. By doing this a company will be able to separate the messages they send each sub-group to be more accurate and relevant. For example a business can make clients aware in one feed about new promotions and news, whilst simultaneously creating another feed that links prospects to portfolio work or the company website. Whilst Google+ is still in the developmental stages at the moment it is sure to become a major player in the social networking world when it goes live.
