Sound Marketing get top marks in charity quiz
Last night saw grey matter tested, intellect challenged and memory measured as Sound Marketing attended the annual Businesses Against Poverty charity quiz. A super team of quizzing companions comprising Darren, Keith, Nicki and Thomas was selected to represent the company based on their bulbous brains, performance under pressure and above all availability.
The team arrived at a packed out Melksham Tandoori in Melksham Wiltshire to find 10 rounds of questions lay before them. A quick introduction from our host Val Huxley, CEO of People Against Poverty and they were off. After the first 3 rounds Sound M held a strong second place losing out only to the Bath Chronicle Team who have been winners for the last 6 years running.
By the halfway point Sound Marketing had slipped to third place following a shocking geography round now placing four points behind the leaders. The half time curry was very impressive both in taste and revitalising qualities as by round 9 the gap had been almost closed. 1st, 2nd and 3rd were separated by only 2 and a half points and by stroke of luck round 10 was revealed to be a ‘Name That Brand’ picture round. Surely this would catapult them to the top!
Despite gaining full marks it was of little advantage as the leaders failed to falter crowning a new champion team of Dunny Doctors followed by Bath Chronicle and then, our heroes, Sound Marketing. Great fun was had by all and over £400 raised for poverty busting projects in Romania.
