In the 1990’s businesses in the USA and Australia started to realise the marketing power of professionally produced ‘on-hold’ music and messaging. However, back in the UK, this market lay largely untapped. Keith Edwards was one of the first people in the UK to see its potential and embrace it. And so in 1997 Sound Marketing was born. Back then it wasn’t easy. No-one had heard of audio marketing and what’s more Keith was working largely alone. Acting as Sales Manager, Script Writer, Account Manager and Finance Director was no walk in the park but when Keith secured the American Express account within his first year of trading, he knew that he had found a winning formula. Today Keith has a strong team of talented individuals at his side and Sound Marketing remains at the forefront of a thriving industry. But we don’t rest on our laurels. We know that to stay there, we have to move with the times. Recent developments in computer technology have brought about new opportunities which Sound Marketing has been keen to develop, so much so that in 2004 Sound Marketing set up its very own IT division, Sound Networks, then later progressed with Sign Marketing and Embroidery UK using the same formula of great customer care. |
